Our Beliefs

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

The Trinity

It is the testimony of both the Old and New Testaments and of the Christian Church that God is both One and Triune. This biblical revelation testifies that there is only one God and that He is eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  1. God the Father – God the Father is the creator and sustainer of all things, and He created the universe in love. He created man in His own image for fellowship and called man back to Himself through Christ after the rebellion and fall of man.
  2. The Son – Jesus Christ is eternally God. He was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him all things were made. For man’s redemption, He left heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary; henceforth, He is forever one Christ with two natures—God and man—in one person.
  3. The Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is God, the Lord, and giver of life, who was active in the Old Testament and given to the Church in fullness at Pentecost. He baptizes and empowers the saints for service and witness, cleanses man from the old nature and conforms us to the image of Christ.

The scripture

We believe that both the Old and New Testaments together make up the Bible, which is the only inspired, infallible word of God. We further believe that the Bible's authority is final, supreme, and eternal. It cannot be manipulated in any way or replaced. All doctrine, instruction, reproof, and correction are found in the Bible. It has everything required for instruction in godliness and genuine Christian faith. We are to base all of our choices in life, work, and ministry on the interpretation of God's Holy Scriptures as given to us through our walk of faith.

The Atonement

We believe that only those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior will benefit from Christ's sacrifice on the cross, which paid the price for ALL of humanity's sins. God's provides healing for His sons and daughters - spirit, soul and body. Through the atonement, every believer can benefit through faith in Jesus.

Salvation

According to what the Bible says, salvation is a free gift from God that is obtained through faith and is contingent on the finished work of the Cross. Three things lead to salvation: confession of sins on one's own, personal acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior (regeneration), and faith in the Lord Jesus (justification). Complete inheritance and adoption rights in God's beloved Son's kingdom are part of the new life in Christ.  It is assured in the eternal unchanging promises of God, who is truthful and remains unchanged throughout eternity. After receiving salvation, one should lead an active life of obedience to Jesus Christ.

Human Life

All human life is sacred and was made in the image of God, according to our beliefs. From conception to natural death, every stage of life has immeasurable value, including that of unborn children, the elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities, and all other conditions. Thus, we have a duty to cherish, defend, and preserve all human life.

Marriage

We believe that the definition of "marriage" is restricted solely to the union of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive relationship, as established in Scripture.  It is our belief that God intended for sexual intimacy to only take place between married couples. Only unions between a natural-born biological man and a natural-born biological woman will be administered and accepted by us.

Baptism & communion

The Word of God enjoins on the Church two perpetual ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first, baptism, is the outward sign of what God has already done in the individual’s life and is a testimony to all that the person now belongs to Jesus. It is identification with Jesus and is effected in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the death of the Lord and is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again; it is a sign of our participation in Him. Both institutions are restricted to those who are believers in Christ.
